We recommend Ashtanga yoga to those who are interested in a more demanding, athletic style of yoga and individuals would like to build up a self-practice. In the introduction course on offer at Yogashala you will be taught the primary series step-by-step. This prepares you for the attendance of the weekly Ashtanga yoga classes. Please find below more information about how the introduction course is structured.
Observe a weekly lesson
Come to one of our weekly lessons and observe the primary series to get an impression. In our experience, people have a good idea whether they want to practice Ashtanga once they have seen it being practiced. There is no need to make an appointment, just drop in. Schedule
Step-by-Step approach & Self-practice
Courses consist of 5 sessions of 3 hours. Continuity (through self-practice) is the key to a fruitful practice of Ashtanga yoga. In between the taught sessions you need to regularly practice what you have learned and build up your own independent self-practice. This is the only way we can support you in a step-by-step process. |
